A little for a lot.
I don’t really like the dentist. No, I like the dentist but I don’t like having dental work done. My guy is highly skilled and a cyclist to boot but it has more to do with my lousy investment strategy.
I am 53 and still have most of my teeth but there was a period of time when I missed scheduled maintenance. I was busy.
I actually didn’t plan to be around this long (nor did I plan an early departure) so I clearly failed to make the right investment at the right time.
Abrasives are pretty much the same thing. I did OK on this one. I have been stockpiling grinding wheels, emery cloth and burrs for years. This week it has really paid off as I am using a lot of it on a small stainless steel hand-rail job. Good emery cloth is getting more difficult to find.
It’s not savings account but in a small way it allows me some latitude to choose to spend my time. I don’t have to shop for abrasives today (though it does sound like fun!).
Today at 3:30 I am getting a tooth extracted. What are the chances I missed a cleaning to shop for abrasives? It’s hard to tell at this point but who knows. It’s amazing what goes on when you aren’t paying attention.
