catchup
It’s crazy around here these days. I wanted to catch up with a couple of projects. I have more “insults to your intelligence” in the works but it’s just meat and potatoes. The weather was awesome today. It really shouldn’t be.
This week the floodgates opened and pretty much everyone is getting their old frames rebuilt. It gets me pretty excited seeing a file mark or weld I applied 20+ years ago. Color me boring.
While on that topic, I collect old bikes myself. Not the ones I made but other stuff that isn’t like I made/make. It figures doesn’t it?
I started with old Raleigh bikes and progressed on to European bikes. I also have antiques. It’s not my business so it’s for leisure time only. If you can call riding an old bike up Vermont roads leisure. I actually ride an old peugeot with fenders and “old lady” handlebars when I ride town. I have racing bikes also.
Here are some of the things I worked on since my last post and some of my old bikes. Is it not funny that a guy who spent all that time with newer ideas would love old bikes? They are so interesting and seem to be a bit more difficult to use but very reliable. I love tubular tires. They ride like gummy-worms. yum.
I have others also.
